I find that working with the 24mm is much easier composition wise and provides a much sharper image than the 20mm. The 20mm was problematic behind the Ike dome for me also. Even behind an Aquatica 8" dome, the 20mm isn't quite as sharp as the 24mm.

Now, if you could get the 17-35mm AF-S lens to work, then you are talking about a zoom as good as a prime. But, alas, the lens won't fit through an Ikelite dome port.
