Subject: Slides Author: drdread Date: 4/11/2001 11:30:50 AM Message:    This is a tough issue. I shoot pretty much only slides myself, but I have a slide scanner. Well, it's an HP PhotoSmart scanner, but it does slides. If I had it to do over again, I would *not* buy the HP unit. The Minolta D'image Dual II is a much better unit. Anyway, many places can scan slides for you. Some processors will scan them at the time the slides are developed. Check with your film processor to see if this service is available. For posting to the web, scan resolutions of 600x400 are more than adequate. 300x200 is a little too small, so check to see what resolution you get with "screen resolution" scans (which are the most common, and cheapest).
