I spent the morning trying to fix the bug Jay reported a while back, namely this bug where posting a picture screws up the text in your message.

Well, it turns out that the problem lies in the Microsoft component I'm using to handle the uploads, and there might not be a fix for it. Apparently the MS component truncates the length of each non-image data field to 256 bytes. Thus, your messages will make it through, but only the first ~256 bytes. Worse still, if the message is larger than 256 bytes, the message body will get maximally screwed up and will probably not make it to the server intact.

As a result, the best I can offer is this: when posting a picture, keep the message that goes with it as short as possible, three or four lines of text at most.

I will continue to work with this problem, and will make an announcement when/if I find a good solution...

Oh, and I made a small change to the code that accepts new messages; it will now re-direct your browser to show you the message you just posted. I got really sick of seeing those "return to board" and "view your post" buttons.
