I have just bought an Epoque slave strobe that I like very much. I have a Nikon 990 digital camera and an Ikelite case.
I have modified the case (with a mirror) so that it can work with a slave strobe. I had many problems with the Ikelite Sb200 because of wet connections.
I would ask you two questions.
1- has anyone had problems wit Ni-MH accu used in underwater air and water- tight strobes? It appears that water can get into the battery compartment because of Hydrogen exaustion from the accus that tends to open the O-ring lock.
2- My digital camera has a 1/1000 synchronization time. I usually get too much light from my strobes. Can I reduce the light input through the lens using 1/1000 instead of 1/60? I think the flash lasts 1/250 sec. How many stops would I get?
