OK, someone is giving my husband a gift soon (well-earned gift of a lifetime!). He thought the $899 for the 3.2 mP Sea and Sea (Roxio camera, w/housing)was fine price-wise (we'll add the strobe etc later).
I've been on several message boards, gathering comments.
Is this the best choice in this price-range? Other ones I read mentioned a lot were the Oly.4040, and Min. DiImage Xi. He dives to a maximum of 150 ft. Previous cameras were the Ikelite disposables, and their APS camera.
If something needs to be ordered, they have til Wed am to get it in time for the presentation event. My local dive shop has this one, though.
