The problem I have with Martin Edge's book is that I don't think it offers anything that will help anyone! It doesn't offer basic photography info that will help beginning photographers, and it doesn't offer advanced technique/composition/framing info that will help experienced photographers. It seemed to me that the main focus of the book was his "think and consider" system which (aside from having a silly name) boiled down to the time-honored technique of trying to visualize the picture before you put the camera up to your eye. That's not new info; photo gurus have been advising people to do that for at least 100 years now.

What I'd like to see is a series of books that start with basic info for new photographers then move on to special techniques. I don't think you can cover the entire subject of u/w photography in one monolithic volume, and attempts to do so (like Edge's) are pretty much doomed to failure.

IMO, of course. :)
