I'm posting this relying on the fast-growing reputation of Dave's website to attract someone who can help ID these extension tubes for Nikonos. ID is needed to help assure we find the correct replacement O-rings, which I've been forewarned are NOT the same O-ring as for the lens itself.

A qustion I therfore have is which O-ring is to be used to mount the lens to the tube, tube to tube, tube to body?

I THINK but am not sure these may be Oceanic extension tubes which have been discontinued. They are in a kit with an Oceanic 2000 strobe and a Nikonos III with 35mm Nikkor lens, in a blue plactic "Oceanic Products" San Leandro California carrying case. We know some things but not everything about the pedigree of the system, which has to be mid to late 70's. The macro stuff may have been added later.

Description: Two tubes, three framers; apparently 2:1, 1:1 and 1:2. Shiny black metal lens mounting block on the framers. No logos at all are engraved or cast into the tubes or framers. If there were ever any stickers they are long gone. Obviously there are no instruction manuals either.

Perhaps key information: The color coded dots on the tubes are red and yellow, and the color coded dots on the framers are red, yellow, and red/yellow.

Whose macro stuff is this, and where do I buy O-rings or learn their spec?
