I'm off to the Galapagos in about a year (yeah I know, poor me :-) ). We are going to spend pretty much the whole week at Wolf and Darwin Islands, shooting BIG animal blue water wideangles. I have decided "may as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb" and I am going to get myself an SS200, which will be an addition to my current SS100 (the 100 will probably become a backup/spare). So my question is: Are guide numbers additive, or is there some other complication involved?

I have read that, with the moderate to severe currents in the Galapagos region, shooting a single strobe is often a better idea as it is easier to handle the rig. I will probably take that advice, but the SS100 will be along as a back up and you just never know...

(other things to add to list: 20mm WA lens, housing for F80, another strobe arm. sigh...)
