...to Ikelite. I should get an answer within a day or so. I can make a guess for you, though. The strobe in question exposes properly with film ranging from ISO 100 through ISO 400 at ~4 feet / 1.3m For the purposes of this estimate, take of the middle speed range, so call it ISO 200 film. The effective aperture on those disposable cameras was/is around f/5.6 or maybe f/8. So from the GN equation we'd expect a guide number of GN = aperture * distance = 4 feet * 8 = 32...But that's at ISO 200. To convert that to ISO 100, divide by the square root of 2 i.e. 1.4, so roughly speaking I'd guess a GN of around 22 (in feet, ISO 100). That corresponds to a GN of ~7 in meters.

As you can see, it's a pretty weak strobe. You're going to have to shoot wide apertures on your Nik V and turn down the intensity of the SB-105 in order to pull off this plan.

I'll post the "definitive" GN from Ikelite as soon as they answer my email...
