Thanks a lot,

You really helped me. To go a bit more in detail about your two points:

Minimal focus distance:
The lens I have is focusing at all zooms at a minimum distance of 50 cm. The lens is known to have very good macro capabilities. For example: I get an apple to fill the foto totally, at a distance of 50cm. When adding a +4 lens to it, I think I will be fine.

Extension Range:
The lens is very compact for its range. The minimum lenght is 7 cm and the maximum is 12 cm.
On the vignetting thing, people got me confused as well. One told me that I shouldn't worry a bit of vignetting, because the ports are perfectly able to handle a not so wide angle of 28mm.

If more techical info is needed see: http://www.tamron.co.uk/a03.htm

Another thing I still do get different advices on, is if I need a dome port or a flat port? Please enlight me some more about this.

Thanks, Peter
