I would be inclined to agree that it is a Great White rather than a Mako, Mako's are similar looking but tend to be longer and leaner, Mako's are like Greyhounds while Great White's are like Mastiffs. Great White's have been found to migrate over massive distances around Australia, but they generally stay with cooler water. I would have thought the water about Eliat would be quite warm. Technical considerations aside, the shark photos have documentary value just by virtue of demonstrating that such as shark was present.
