The camera's lens is eq. to an SLR 35-105 zoom. The shot you mentioned was at 35 of course and I don't mind saying it was a direct attempt to duplicate some of your similar shots. Most of this trip was spent trying to evaluate my understanding of this camera/strobe in different situations. I took this one by metering the blue (in P mode), pressing the exposure lock button, then framing and shooting it with the strobe in TTL. I had practiced this with good results at home with a sunny background.

BTW, I now do not think the sensor aiming is the problem. I repositioned it and took some shots at home yesterday evening and had the same problem. I tried several positions after re-reading Ikelite's directions on the subject and coudn't get good results.

What I get is WAAAY overexposed images most of the time, some with almost no discernable detail. The same shot using only the camera flash works well. In some cases, I can take the same shot twice with no changes in settings and get one overexposed and one under. I'll be calling Ikelite today sometime unless you have some good ideas.
