I've heard that the future Canon 1sD that will replace the current EOS 1D will be a 6 megapixel FULL SIZE SENSOR. I know this doesn't help those that have a big investment in Nikon lenses and I won't be paying the $4000 premium to go digital, but it is encouraging. Canon had said that their SLR lenses were not capable of ensuring that the light rays were perpendicular to the sensor, in focus, and achromatic all at the same time and thus the small sensor size. I wonder how they fixed the problem; little micro lenses on the ccd?....
