Side-lighting like that really makes the subject stand out. As you know, I'm of the school of thought that says "it's all about the subject." In this case, the lighting makes the sea star just about jump out of the image. I like it.

The only thing I might change would be to pull back a hair so you can get the whole star in the frame. I wouldn't just "aim down" a little; that would lose the blue border at the top of the frame, which I think adds a lot. If you were to pull back a little, you'd get more of the star *and* a little more blue border, both of which would be good.

Is the shadow in the upper left the dive boat, a coral "hill", or am I missing something entirely. If it were the dive boat, pulling back a little would also get you more of the boat, which is a really fun thing to add to a picture. See this picture from Grand Cayman for an example.

All in all, though, I think it's a super picture.
