I purchased a used close up filter set (+1, +2, +4) so that I could try to use my Canon 50mm/1.4 behind a dome. I’ve only taken it into the pool once, but I’m not really satisfied with the minimum focusing distance. I was hoping to be able to use it for “macro” shots.

Can I stack the +2 filter on the +4? Or will this not help very much? Or is this a foolish idea in general?

Andrew

The filters are pretty slim, so I can probably get away with stacking without vignetting.
