The 60 is a great all-around workhorse, but is tough to use on tiny mobile subjects. The 105 does much better on those subjects, but limits the maximum size of the beast you can photograph rather strongly.

Personally, I love my 105. I rarely shoot the 60 any more...but if you can have only one of them, the 60 is hard to turn down just because of its versatility.
