Economics dictated that I should choose only one. I am also still in the "3 foot fish as subjects" stage, so I decided to shoot only sedentary or sessile 1:1 subjects for a while. It is inevitable that I will end up with the 105 as well, but it is maybe a year out on the spending plan. I decided that the somewhat greater versatility of the 60 vs the 105 in terms of subject size was worth the trade off, I can't shoot either fast or slow moving little boogers now, and now I will be able to get the slow movers. I also wanted an additional slight telephoto lens for topside use, so the 60 mm it was.
