My general feeling is that housing the F2 is not something I'd pursue too vigorously. Autofocus and at least 'A' mode autoexposure are extremely handy underwater. Clearly, a power winder is a must...and the bulk of a power winder would likely make using the whole setup in a housing a very buoyant proposition at best. In any event, if you choose to go this route, Ikelite is probably the only outfit that will be able to help you.

As for digital, well, "u/w digital camera" doesn't make much sense unless you're talking about a digital camera in some sort of housing. In that case, many 'regulars' on this site have had pretty good results from the Olympus 3040 and 4040 digital cameras.

I'm not sure I'd agree with the "little doubt" clause in your post. I've seen some fairly fabulous photos taken by people using the Olympus + housing rig. FWIW, I myself shoot a housed Nikon N90s as well as a Nikonos V.
