I wasn't really looking for it. I have PaintShop Pro 7 which has very similar tools so I can get rid of it, I just wondered what caused it. I knew it all looked like backscatter except for the arcs. Because of the arcs, I started thinking it might be something else. However, the backscatter and the arcs are both in all of the problem shots so I'm sure they're caused by the same thing. There are holes that allow air to escape from between the housing lens and the add-on wide angle lens. I have a suspision that with the strobe this far forward, light enters these holes and cause the arcs.

I have plenty of wide shots that don't have this effect so I know it's avoidable...at least now that I know what caused it to begin with.

I forgot to mention the key clue, it only happened with the WA addapter lens. (+) (0)
