The Olympus 4040 and Ikelite DS-125 are screaming at me, haunting me, possessing me, or ...well you get the idea. I've added up over $3k worth of bits when all is said and done, I can buy quite analog camera system (or a trip to Galapagos) for that.

The only downside I see with this system right now are that the camera is shipped with a 16MB card (wtf?), a week on a liveaboard will require some sort of upload/storage system, and that after having this camera for a year, it'll be comparable to a $200 camera (not technically a problem but bothersome all the same).

I would like your input on the subject...of course my bank account would like you to talk me out of it.

Oh, I played with some b&w film in my Auto35 in Coz a few weeks ago. Here's one of the shots just for fun.
