I thought I had fixed that bug. I guess not. I'll look into it when I get a chance.

OK, about digital cameras: flash cards are ridiculously cheap these days. I saw an ad recently for a 64 MB card for $32. It's hardly worth worrying about. If you're thinking about digital, "do it" and just buy a larger card (or multiple larger cards).

As for the obsolescence of the cameras, that's one reason why I have not purchased one yet. Within the next couple of years, pixel counts will stop rising, mostly because the payback just won't be there. Once you get to the ~10 MP range, I think the average person will have no need for higher pixel count. At 24 MP, you've more or less equaled film, and you really can't make much of a case for more pixels. At the point where pixel counts stop increasing (or at least start slowing down), I'll be ready to buy. Of course, what I really want is some sort of camera that will let me use all the lenses I have now, but that's a different story. :)

In the mean time, the C4040 is an amazing little unit. It's hard to imagine how you'd outgrow it any time soon...

So go ahead, buy the damned thing. You'll love it.
