Unless I'm remembering things incorrectly, last night I tried my setup in a dimly lit room and even when I turned on the strobe it gave very long exposure times. The strobe would fire when I tripped the shutter release, but the the shutter would stay open for a long time. I assume this is because it's trying to expose the background with ambient light and the forground subject with the strobe? Or is there something I'm not understanding?
