Using an external strobe is quite tricky in terms of "camera behaviour". Most users are unaware that the camera behaves "differently" with a strobe. User maunuals don't reveal much on the subject neither...

It takes some time to figure out how the camera behaves with a strobe attached, but then you know what to expect from the camera and how to avoid it.

As a matter of speaking, I find it easier to take shots at night since I don't bother about the background and where I'm going to measure its exposure. All I have to take care of is to focus on the subject and choose an aperture that suits its distance.
