it's an add-on to the outside of the housing. In other words, it brings its own port and it's not domed : (

here. Remember, Imagestation sucks but it's free : )

Yes, the problem is worse with close-up subjects. I can see where careful composition with CFWA could help minimize the end effect of the problem but it would be pretty limiting. Oh well, it is just a $350 lens, can't expect too much. I also got the macro lens which I'm sure I'll have $150 worth of fun with. Of course, macro is one thing digicams do pretty well from what I've seen.

As for the composition, thank you. I finally got Jim Church's book and your instructions are right on, I should have ordered it "right now" 2 years ago. It's such an incredably simple book to say so much.
