The Inon lens screws into the port on the housing. It can be added and removed under water.

I've shot the MX-10 with the add on 20mm lens top side. It wasn't particularly sharp. That and moisture tended to form inside. I'd guess it would work better underwater than topside.

Also, I shot a few more images with my 20mm in my Aquatica housing with the 8" dome. The slides were only slightly fuzzy at the very edge of the image, virtually unnoticably versus the Ike setup. I had an e-mail discussion with Brett at Ikelite. Their dome just isn't designed to be sharp past 108 degrees. It was designed to be cost effective. I now think the 108 degrees is wildly optimistic.

Our weekend test drive of the Aquatica housing for the Coolpix was a complete washout. I sent one of my SS200's back to Ikelite for an electrical upgrade for digital camera use. They quoted me $35 and charged me $70.

The first dive with the camera, the battery went dead 5 minutes into the dive. The next dive, the camera wouldn't fire. The next dive with me using it, I took 4 awful images and then it wouldn't fire. When the strobe doesn't fire, the camera won't fire.

On top of that, the batteries in my N90s went dead on the last dive. Brain fart.

All in all it was a great trip. Tooled around the island taking people shots (not the tourists).

On our dive at Santa Rosa, some dolphin decided to show up as we geared up. I took out the trusty new digital. The shutter lag was perfect. Push the shutter when they break the surface and it fires after they go back under. I love digital.
