First off, the fact that it was designed for u/w use tells me that topside use is likely to be an 'iffy' proposition at best. In addition, push-on lenses in general tend to have optical problems of all sorts. Clamping down the aperture on your camera should help.

Also, I'll stick with my bet about CFWA probably being almost unworkable with this setup, in water or out. You should be good to go if the subject is 2-3 feet or farther from the lens.

Let me know how it goes when you finally get it in the water.
